The State Highway Operation and Protection Program (SHOPP) funds capital improvement and maintenance/pavement rehabilitation projects along the State Highway System. SHOPP capital improvements projects are limited to operational and safety enhancement that do not add capacity to the State Highway System. In the past 15 years, Tuolumne County has received an average of about $7 million per year in SHOPP funding for projects. SHOPP funding is not projected to increase or decrease in the next 25 years.
