Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) funds are distributed by the State on a formula basis to the TCTC. The TCTC then determines a methodology to distribute these funds to local agencies. These funds can be used for a variety of project types, including construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation, resurfacing, restoration and operational improvements on roads classified above a local or rural minor collector. Additionally, these funds may be used for pedestrian, bicycle, and transit improvements.
