Regional Planning 

Regional Planning involves taking a broader view of the regions' that together comprise the State and the transportation needs that are within them.  By looking beyond County and City boundaries, travel patterns, projects and mobility take on a more inter-related nature.  The Tuolumne County Transportation Council works both locally and with its regional and State partners to plan for transportation investments that will facilitate goods movement, public transportation, inter city travel, tourism, and efficient travel.  The Regional Transportation Plan is a pillar of regional transportation planning agency responsibility, and an important funding document.
